My job is to assist live in housekeepers in finding suitable families for them to live with. This may sound like an easy job but you would not believe the amount of families that expect the live in housekeepers to do everything for them for such little pay. They assume that because they are providing accommodation, the pay does not need to be very high. My job is to ensure that all live in housekeepers receive at least minimum wage, this is very difficult as often they can end up working longer hours as time progresses and by this time they are very fond of the family and it is tricky to get them a good deal. My job becomes very easy when families realise that a good live in housekeeper, will need the respect that they deserve. Fortunately we do see this quite often and because of our service it is a more common occurrence.
